Barbara has served as a strategic analyst and public relations leader over her 15-year career, specializing in B2B technology. She has assisted companies from small startups to established corporations, helping create and maintain client reputations with analysts, as well as build brand awareness through written materials such as contributed articles, blog posts and presentations. In addition to facilitating briefings and inquiries, and crafting briefing materials and overview presentations, she is well informed regarding Gartner Peer Insights campaigns and the evolution of the GPI tool within the analyst relations landscape.

While with Wind Communications, she has supported clients in IT services, cloud infrastructure and telecom. Her most significant previous experience was developed at multiple agencies, including Burson-Marsteller, The Weber Group (now Weber Shandwick) and the former tech boutique Citigate-Cunningham. As Director at both Weber and C-C, she ran teams and budgets for multiple clients simultaneously, including Micron, Sun Microsystems and Trend Micro, among others. Petracek’s additional expertise lies in corporate strategy, executive training and transforming complicated technical concepts into mainstream understanding.
